My 2010 To-Do List: 50 Things I Want to Do in 2010
- Go to a Twins game at the new stadium. (done, 05/09/2010)
- Take a cooking class at Kitchen Window.
- Replace windows throughout my house. (done, 01/18/2010)
- Re-pierce nose. (done, 12/27/2009)
- Take bikram and/or hatha yoga classes.
- Read 50+ books.
- Write for at least 30 minutes each day.
- Daily meditations from Bodhipaksa. (done, daily)
- Play piano and sing for at least 2 hours each week.
- Choose the best Jucy Lucy (thanks Conner!)
- Do a Wisconsin cheese tour.
- Attend Grand Old Day. (oops–didn’t even know it was happening until it was over!)
- Go horseback riding.
- Go to a St. Paul Saints game.
- Go to the MN State Fair.
- Go to the Mpls Farmer’s Market at least 3 times.
- Go to a comedy club.
- Have a casino night. (done, 07/23/2010)
- Have a picnic.
- Go canoeing.
- Go camping.
- Go to at least one city-wide garage sale; find something (anything!) that truly kicks ass.
- See Mike Doughty in concert.
- See a performance by the Minnesota Orchestra.
- Check out Punch Pizza. (done, 12/27/2009)
- Go to a “pick your own” garden (whether it’s pumpkins, apples, berries…whatever).
- Visit Lanesboro, Harmony, Caledonia, and Rushford.
- Turn my office into an honestly productive and inspiring workspace.
- Larger-than-life animal hunt and photo extravaganza (photos to be posted when this happens!).
- Attend at least one event from at least 5 town festivals.
- Go to the Mall of America (since I haven’t been there since, oh, say, 2000?)
- Create a detailed will.
- Get new domain; make kickass website.
- Go to Vegas.
- Go to Montana / Wyoming / Idaho / Oregon.
- Do at least 5 random drive-and-stop days.
- Spend a whole day doing nothing but cooking. (done, 01/09/10)
- Game night.
- Go to a movie. At a theater. Shouldn’t be that hard, but I’ve only been to one movie in the last 4-5 years.

My Bucket List: 50 Things I Want to Do in My Lifetime
- Earn Bachelor’s degree in English / Writing.
- Earn Master’s degree in English / Writing.
- Earn Ph.D. in English / Writing or History.
- Own my own home.
- Own 20-50 acres, with large gardens of colorful flowers and fresh vegetables, and pastures of ducks, dogs, chickens, miniature donkeys, and goats.
- Create and run a meaningful organization to benefit worthy causes.
- Become a really good cook.
- Be a vegetarian.
- Start my own bakery.
- Regularly write for magazines.
- Support myself as an author / writer. Stop having regular, corporate-type jobs.
- Learn to ice skate.
- Learn to paint.
- Learn to sculpt.
- Learn to draw.
- Become an expert at animal training.
- Rescue at least 200 dogs.
- Raise 2-3 children (adopted, fostered, or birthed).
- Share my life with someone kind, respectful, funny, interesting, and intelligent.
- Be a non-smoker.

I have not been there, but this place in Bloomington offers two yoga classes (if you take them both within a week), plus a towel and mat for $20 if you’re a first timer!
